1. Why do I have to use the online scheduler? I'd rather just pick up the phone and talk to a coach directly.

Just like you, we want to effectively manage our use of time and resources. We want to focus on what's most important ... quality squash coaching. Like many other businesses we can leverage on technology to streamline the administrative tasks associated with every session that's booked. A coach may be busy in a session with other players, out of range or otherwise unavailable at the time you call so you have to remember to call back in an hour etc. That's before considering potential miscommunication regarding session times/dates, payments and session costs and other administrative details. All these potentially time consuming and stressful factors are completely eliminated for both players and coaches with a short 5 min. upfront effort to sign in and use (bookmark recommended) the online/mobile system. To date, everyone who has tried it agrees that it is by far the most convenient and error free way to schedule their sessions.

2. But what if I decide not to go ahead with a session when it's already scheduled?

Each session has simple buttons that allow you to update (change to another time/date) or delete sessions if you want to. It will automatically adjust the cost of an updated session or re-credit your account in the case of a deletion so that your balance is always accurately recorded in the system. It is not possible to update/delete a session within 24 hrs of commencement as the slot will have been denied to other players and coaches will have made the necessary time commitments already. To assist, a reminder email will be automatically sent 26 hours before the start of your session giving you 2 hours to double check and be sure you (or your child) can make it on time. You will receive another email reminder an hour before your session starts to prevent any last minute distractions from causing you to forget your session.

3. I don't want to forfeit a session, even if I cancel within 24 hours, can you be more flexible?

We understand. Nobody wants to forfeit a session due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond anyone's control. At the same time some players are far more prone to last minute cancellations than others. Everybody suffers from last minute cancellations and we have tried hard to implement a workaround that is as fair as possible to everyone. Our solution, if you do forfeit, is to send you an email notification of every subsequent forfeiture by other players together with time/date so that you can re-claim (by reply email notification) your 'lost' session at a future date and take the session in the place of the (current) forfeiting player. If you find this a little confusing don't worry, we handle it automatically and have implemented this system for some time now. Feedback from re-claimers has been very positive.

4. So how would I actually forfeit if I had to?

Just click the 'Forfeit' link on the scheduler above the calendar, add your name and an email will be automatically written for you to inform us. Just click 'Send' in your email client. We will handle the rest. There is nothing further to do. (On the mobile app you need to switch to 'Desktop' mode (bottom of screen) to access the link).

5. What if I have a technical issue with the schedule?

This is rare to non-existent. Just click the 'Technical Issue' link on the scheduler above the calendar, add your name, state the issue and an email will be automatically written for you to inform us. Just click 'Send' in your email client. We will promptly respond. (On the mobile app you need to switch to 'Desktop' mode (bottom of screen) to access the link).

6. What if the coach isn't available?

If a coach is not available for any reason he/she can block out times/dates and it will not be possible to select those time slots. If you are trying to click on a colored slot it has already been taken by another player and cannot be booked. You will receive a red bounded error notification informing you that a slot is not available. This will also happen if you do not have enough credit remaining on your account to cover the session cost.

7. What about courts?

Many players have a court attached to their condominium and our coaches are happy to travel to those courts for your convenience. There are also 4 public squash centres in Singapore which can be easily booked through the AciveSG mobile and/or online application (courts cannot be booked through our scheduling system). When you use our scheduler you will select your preferred court location when you book the coach and therefore both you and we will receive email confirmations of when and where the session will take place (no further action necessary).

8. How will the coach find me at the courts?

The coaches are very familiar with the public squash centers in Singapore and know how to find condominium squash courts without difficulty. Please add your condominium name in the the 'comment' box on the Squash Passion scheduler booking form. You can assist coaches by briefly adding any useful information (e.g. court number that you have booked) in the 'comment' box as well.

9. Do you coach youngsters/beginners?

Yes. Players can benefit from our coaching at any level/age. The minimum age is 7.

10. Do you coach groups?

We recommend 1-1 sessions which are the norm. The maximum is 2 players per 1 hour session (1/2 hour each). For large (e.g. corporate) groups please contact us at customer.support@squashpassion.com for a quotation.

11. What equipment do I need?

Any squash racket and sports shoes for the first session. The coach can then advise at that time. You must arrange for a court yourself (please see point 7).

12. How much is it?

The cost varies according to when you book a session. When you click a slot the cost will be indicated before you confirm, so you can check the cost of a particular time/date before committing to it (even then you can always update/delete (outside of 24 hrs) if you want to change to another slot/price).

13. How do I pay?

The Squash Passion Shop has a PayPal interface which quickly allows you to pay with a credit card through PayPal. Doing this will automatically credit your Squash Passion account and you can start scheduling sessions immediately.

14. Can I have a free trial lesson?

Learning to play squash properly requires commitment and a longer term outlook. Whilst we welcome everyone, including the young and complete beginners, our highest priority is to our regular and committed players, whatever their current standard, who also have tight scheduling requirements and may need that slot too. Become one of our valued priority players, give squash a proper go and really get a feel for the game with a few consecutive sessions.
